"We have no record of Bola Tinubu in our systems." - Deloitte USA

Deloitte USA, a United States company has said that it has no employment records on Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate in its systems.

In a letter dated September 20, 2022, the company stated, “Dear Mr. Kowals, we received a subpoena 16 September 2022, seeking employment records for Bola Tinubu, SSN…. Please be advised that we have no record of Bola Tinubu in our systems, and as such have no employment records for them.”

Deloitte was responding to a subpoena served on it by an investigative journalist, David Hudeyin who sought to verify Tinubu's claim that he made $1.8 million from salaries and bonuses while working for the company, Sahara Reporters said.

The company’s response, which was signed by Tish Negron, Senior Legal Specialist, was published in the West African Weekly as part of a report by the journalist.

According to Hudeyin, “Bola Ahmed Tinubu has claimed that he made $1.8 million from salaries and bonuses while working a consultancy job at Deloitte USA.

“So we subpoenaed Deloitte USA to provide evidence of Tinubu's employment and staff payment records, and this is what came back,” Hundeyin posted on Monday.

Last week, a report by Sahara Reporters revealed that Tinubu was indicted for drug dealing and money laundering in 1993 by a US District Court in Chicago.

The certified documents of that judgment which surfaced recently, according to Sahara Reporters also showed that the former Lagos state governor entered

a plea bargain to voluntarily forfeit his assets to American authorities in 1993 instead of facing trial.

A spokesman for the APC presidential campaign, Bayo Onanuga has however described the documents in circulation as a “campaign of calumny,” adding that the “Muckrakers are back in business.”

There has been much confusion and controversies surrounding Tinubu's health status, real name, and age.
