Obi's Chatham House appearance projected Nigeria as a pride of the black race, says Kenneth Okonkwo.

A spokesman for the Obi/Datti presidential campaign, Kenneth Okonkwo, has described Peter Obi's outing at the Chattam house on Monday as a great boost to his candidacy and Nigeria's image as "the pride of the black race," Vanguard reports.

Comparing Obi's performance at the Chatham House with that of Bola Tinubu, the APC flag bearer, Okonkwo said he was "proud of his principal."

Okonkwo was speaking on a Channels Television program, "Politics Today."

He said “Peter Obi’s appearance at Chatham House is not only an appearance that will further Labour Party or his candidacy. His appearance has projected Nigeria as a pride of the black race.

“I’m proud of my principal who was so stingy that he went to Chatham House and he refused to share questions. He was answering the questions in contradiction to the generous APC candidate who went there and shared all the questions for other people to answer. That marks the basis of the leadership he (Obi) talks about.”

Peter Obi was at the Chatham House in the United Kingdom on Monday to respond to questions on how he intends to lead Nigeria if he wins the presidential election next month.

Obi was seen answering all questions directed at him.

In contrast, the APC flag bearer, Bola Tinubu, during his appearance at the Chattam House, directed his aides to answer some questions thrown at him, saying at that time, that he was displaying the team-ship in his campaign team.
