Nigeria is cursed with bad leadership, says Fr. Mbaka.

The Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria (AMEN), Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka has said that Nigerians are laboring under the curse of bad leadership despite the numerous manifest blessings of God on the country.

Fr. Mbaka made the statement at the AMEN prayer ground, on Friday, during his first sermon, after resuming his duties at the ministry, Nigerian Tribune reports.

The Catholic cleric said, “Nigeria is blessed with everything but cursed with bad leadership.”

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka returned to the Ministry on January 4, 2023, after an eight-month suspension amid a jubilant crowd of his supporters who marched and danced beside the vehicle that conveyed him to the prayer ground at Umuchigbo Nike, causing a traffic jam along the old Emene-Abakaliki road.

The Enugu Catholic Diocesan Bishop, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga earlier suspended the activities of the Adoration Ministry, and banned Catholic clergy and laity from attending the Ministry, following what the Bishop described as "happenings in the Catholic Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy Enugu, capable of undermining the Catholic faith and teachings."

He was replaced by Rev Fr. Anthony Amadi who was posted to the chaplaincy to oversee its activities.

However, after a brief stay at St Andrew's Abbey Monastry in Los Angeles, Fr Mbaka returned to direct the Adoration Ministry.

He has declared 2023 as a year of favor and prayed that the congregants would not labor in vain.
