Family, fans, and allies of Nigeria's music icon, Davido continue to celebrate him at 30

Happy birthday, wishes and prayers have continued to flood in from family, friends, and business associates of Nigeria's music superstar, David Adeleke, popularly called Davido who turned 30 on Monday. 


Among the people that sent their best wishes via social media are Davido's first daughter, Imade, Israel DMW, Obi Cabana, Eniola Badmus, Iyabo Ojo, and Cubana Chief Priest. 


In a post on Instagram, the seven-year-old Imade shared an old photo of her father with his kids and wished him peace, joy, and love on his birth anniversary.


"Happy birthday daddy!!!! I wish you peace, joy, and love,” Imade wrote.

Israel DMW posted on his Instagram page saying, “Happy 30th birthday Sir. The Lord would continue to be our strength," Amen.


Eniola Badmus called Davido the strongest. She wrote: “Happy birthday to the strongest !!!.”


“Continue to live long Oriade @davido.


“God got you and I dey with you for life.”


Obi Cubana on his Instagram page called on youths to celebrate the music icon and pray for happiness to return in his life. Obi wrote: “Dear Youth!!


"Today let’s wish OBO a happy 30th birthday.


“Let’s pray that his infectious smile returns immediately.


“Let’s pray that God restores all he has lost and add plenty more to him.


“OBO is a happy soul, he doesn’t deserve anything less than pure love and happiness!

Davido's close ally and popular celebrity barman Cubana Chief priest while calling the music superstar his best friend wished Davido joy and success, "Happy Birthday bestie mi, on this 30th floor you shall know no sorrow, all you shall feel is peace, love, joy, and success.”

“God has vowed to favor, guard, lead, and take away your suffering. You are my very best friend," the Cubana Chief priest wrote, adding that he would make a cash gift of one million nairas to his followers in honor of his best friend, Davido.


“I'll be giving out 1m Naira to my followers today ( Monday) because it’s Davido’s birthday.


“E choke, and we have to celebrate for the people.


“#30BG, The spirit is high today, ” Cubana chief priest declared.


Iyabo Ojo also wished Davido well. She wrote, “Happy 30th birthday king@davido. May you continue to rise against all odds, may God renew your strength, you will soar on wings like eagles; you will run and not grow weary, you will walk and not be faint.


“Jesus is your hope, He will fill your heart with unending joy & gladness…stay blessed champ."


Davido's fans also joined the celebration on Twitter with prayers for the music star and by trending the hashtag #Davido@30.


According to the Leadership, a Twitter user @Sazzynice said the singer deserved the best of everything: “May all the joy you have spread around come back to you a hundredfold. May you receive the greatest of joys and everlasting bliss. You are a gift yourself to Mankind, and you deserve the best of everything, happy birthday DAVIDO THE KING OF AFROBEAT #DavidoAt30


Another person,@ ChrisSZN, tweeted, “Happy birthday king, afrobeat himself,001, Ori Ade, the goat of African music….we 30bg love you and we are wishing you well on your big day, keep being real king, we dey for you..#DavidoAt30.”


“Happy Birthday 001 We miss you Baddest. Continue to stay and stand strong #DavidoAt30 #30BG,” tweeted @Sagerichkid.

Davido who is still in mourning has kept off social media and has not appeared in public since the death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, who tragically drowned in a private swimming pool at his father's Banana Island residence on

October 31, 2022.

About Davido


Born David Adedeji Adeleke on November 21, 1992, in Atlanta Georgia, United States, Davido who hails from Osun state, Nigeria began his music career in 2011 and shot into fame with songs like Dami Duro, Euro, and Gobe among others.


He has been described as the “king of modern afrobeats”. Davido has won more than 30 awards including 9 from Headies, 2 from BET, 2 from MTV Africa, 2 from Nigerian Entertainment, and 2 from MTV Europe.


Davido's musical work with Trinidad's Cardina and AISHA entitled" Hayya Hayya"  is part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup official soundtrack album, making him the first Nigerian singer to be featured in a FIFA World Cup single, according to the Daily Trust.


His 2017 hit; " Fall' earned him greater recognition in the U.S. as the most Shazamed song in New York and made it to the Billboard U.S. chart, finally becoming the longest-charting Nigerian song.


Apart from his music career, Davido is a well-known philanthropist, who on November 17, 2021, raised N250 million from his friends and colleagues and donated it all to orphanages across Nigeria through a special panel that he set up to ensure transparent distribution of the funds.


During the 2022 gubernatorial election in Osun state, Davido proved himself a charismatic politician and mobilizer, applying his crowd-pulling strength to draw thousands of voters to his uncle, Ademola Adeleke who finally won the governorship election.
