A day after the mass burial of victims of previous terrorist attacks in Mallagum and Sogwon communities, terrorists again attacked Mallagum-Kagoro in the Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, forcing residents to desert the area.
The fully armed attackers arrived between 9 pm and 10 pm and began shooting sporadically, according to Daily Trust.
“But thank God there was no loss of life because the military repelled the attackers,” a community source said.
Last Sunday night, the terrorist attacked Malagum and Sokwong communities killing over 30 persons and burning over 100 homes, according to the Speaker of Kaura Local Government Area, Hon. Atuk Stephen.
Atuk described the killings as "heinous," and called on the Federal Government and security agencies to do more to prevent further killings in the area.
“Attacks in our area have been consistent and multi-dimensional, "Atuk told The PUNCH.
The Kaduna state police command has not reacted to the development.
