Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has condemned plans by a well-known American rapper, producer, and founder of the G-Unit Records, 50 Cent to produce a movie series on the jailed Nigerian internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas popularly called Hushpuppi.
Reacting on his Instagram page on Thursday, Omokri described the proposed movie production as an attempt by 50 Cent to further dent the global image of Nigerians.
Omokri said 50 Cent should, instead, use his movies to highlight the positive impacts that several other Nigerians are making in various areas of life as their stories deserve to be told.
“Not impressed by 50 Cents planned movie on Hushpuppi. It will further tank Nigeria’s already battered image,” Omokri wrote.

“Many positive things come out of Nigeria, like Dr. Oluyinka Olutoye, the first man to successfully perform surgery on an unborn baby outside its mother’s womb, and restore it in its mum’s womb after the procedure. Do a movie about those!” he noted.
Omokri further urged 50 Cent to consider making a movie on America's Bernie Madoff, who was responsible for the greatest fraud in history.
“If 50 Cent wants to do a movie about fraud, then he should consider doing one on Bernie Madoff, an American who stole $50 billion, thereby pulling off the biggest heist ever on earth, ” Omokri maintained.
50 Cent on Wednesday announced his intention to produce a movie series based on the recently jailed internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, alias Hushpuppi.
He shared pictures of Abbas via his Instagram page with the caption, “For my scammers, I gotta do this one. Hushpuppi series coming soon! GLG, Green Light Gang I don’t miss. #Bransoncognac #lecheminduroi #gunitfilmandtv."
I have not left the PDP
Meanwhile, Omokri has refuted reports that he has left the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP to join the Labour Party, describing the report as propaganda by Obedients -supporters of LP presidential flag bearer, Mr. Peter Obi.
LP's national publicity secretary, Arabambi Abayomi was reported to have congratulated Omokri for joining the Labour party.

According to Abayomi, who was quoted in the publication, Omokri finally chose to ditch Atiku after seeing the light.
About a widely shared video in which Reno praised and commended Obi for the job he did as the governor of Anambra State, Abayomi claimed that Omokri, his other friends, Femi Fani-Kayode and Dino Melaye, would soon relocate and join the movement that will elect Obi as Nigeria's next president.
Quoting Omokri, Abayomi said, “I am proud of their man, he is my friend, he made money for himself in the private sector and he made money for Anambra State, he never borrowed money.”
Reacting, on Twitter, Omokri who is an associate of Atiku Abubakar said, “I have been inundated by calls. I thought I addressed this yesterday when @segalink asked me. It is propaganda by Obedients.
“I am a member of only 2 parties, the PDP and the UK Conservative Party. I am also aligned with, but not a member of the Republican Party.”
