Football legend Pele is no longer responding to medical treatment after he was moved into Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo last week to relieve his bowel cancer pains.

Folha de São Paulo on Saturday reported that “Pele is not responding any longer to the chemotherapy treatment he has been undergoing since last September to treat his bowel cancer”.
According to Daily Mail, the 82-year-old legend '‘is moved to end-of-life care’ ward in the hospital, as his body is no longer responding to chemotherapy in the fight against bowel cancer."
Pele went into the hospital last Tuesday after suffering from ‘general swelling’ and ‘heart failure.’
An update on Thursday said Pele was in a "stable" condition in the hospital and his daughter, Kelly had insisted there was ‘no cause for alarm.’
