Fr. Mbaka returns to Adoration Ministry.

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, Spiritual director, AMEN.

The Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, AMEN, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka has returned to the Ministry after an eight-month suspension.

Fr. Mbaka attended the Adoration ministry on Wednesday, amid a jubilant crowd of his supporters who marched and danced beside the vehicle that conveyed him to the prayer ground at Umuchigbo Nike, causing traffic jams along the old Emene-Abakaliki road.

Last November, photos and a video posted on Twitter showed Fr. Mbaka standing by the signpost of St Andrew's Abbey Monastry in Los Angeles, USA, and saying, “Officially I have entered into St Andrew’s Abbey Monastery in Los Angeles, Valyermo.”

The Enugu Catholic Diocesan Bishop, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga earlier suspended the activities of the Adoration Ministry, banned Catholic clergy and laity from attending the Ministry, "in fulfillment of my pastoral duties as the Chief Shepherd," the Bishop said then and following what the Bishop described as "happenings in the Catholic Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy Enugu, capable of undermining the Catholic faith and teachings."

Bishop Onaga also disclosed that Fr. Camillus Ejike Mbaka "persistently violated" the pastoral directives and guidelines for the Ministry given to him.

Many believed that the suspension of the Ministry was caused by Fr. Mbaka's repeated outbursts against Labor Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi.
