Billionaire CEO of Tesla and Twitter, Elon Musk has become the first person in history to lose $200 billion of his net worth.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, the decline in Tesla shares in recent weeks including a massive 11 percent fall in Tesla shares on December 27, plunged Musk's wealth to $137 billion.
Consequently, Tesla is now offering consumers in the United States a discount of $7,500 for its two highest-volume models before the end of the year.
In November 2021, Musk’s fortune finished at $340 billion, making him the world’s richest person for more than a year at a stretch.
However, he was overtaken this month by Bernard Arnault, the French business mogul and co-founder of luxury goods powerhouse LVMH.
